I actually have the beginnings of a matte painting for the background for your shot. I will email it to you tomorrow to make sure it works for your shot before it gets too far.
I like the animation a lot so far, but I thing his expression at the end needs to be different or maybe even him just closing his eyes at the end would make it feel less odd to me.
I agree with Kim, his eyes close would be good, like he is thinking of her. and I think his head can face down more and less "tilted" to the side. It looks like his neck is a little bit broke at the end.
